About Gabriel Duceppe and ÖGENIX:

ÖGENIX in an Electro-Metal band founded by Gabriel Duceppe in Montreal in 2001. According to their Facebook page, ÖGENIX is ELECTRO METAL to melt your faces off!! NOISECORE to fry your brains!! ÖGENIX the sole flag bearer of the sound of the 21st century… THE FUTURE STARTS NOW!!!

Gab is the founder and principle songwriter for the band and has brought the project with him to China, where he is continuing to play with new band members. Gab also performs as a solo electronic artist, using DIY synths and programs he constructs himself. At the Quiet Voices Festival, Loreli was able to hear Gab performing solo, which you can hear in its entirety in the audio piece below, both as a bed of music beneath the interview and on its own at the end of the piece.
